The 2nd Annual Leadership Luncheon was a huge success, raising funds and awareness for CLCC. The event was held on May 24th at The Club in Birmingham with almost 400 in attendance. Many thanks to our event sponsors, Regions Bank and WJOX radio and our premium table sponsors, Yarbrough Consulting, A Team, Ard Contracting, Robins & Morton, CS Beatty and Friends of CLCC.

The event honored Richard Simmons, CEO of the Center for Executive Leadership, for his distinguished service to our community. Richard was amongst family and friends. A generous donor provided a copy of Richard’s latest book, The True Measure of a Man, to each attendee.

This year’s keynote speaker, Auburn University National Championship Coach Gene Chizik, gave an inspirational talk about the responsibility to give back. Coach Chizik accepted a donation from Regions Bank to his charity of choice, A Team. Coach Chizik’s wife, Jonna also attended. Click here for pictures of the 2011 event with Coach Chizik.

Letter Writing Campaign

Our Letter Writing Campaign is a simple but powerful way to spread the word and gain support for CLCC.  Volunteers are asked to write a letter to 20 people asking for $20 dollars which supports a specific need that would assist the Residents of CLCC.

It is easy to participate…we provide a sample letter, you mail it or email it to your friends, and in turn, they can support us via mail or online.  Some volunteers send 20 letters just once and others send 20 letters to 20 different people each month.  We keep up with the donations that you bring in so that you can be recognized for your efforts.  Our Letter Writing Campaign is a grass roots effort to raise awareness and funds for Changed Lives Christian Center.
